I constantly wonder if my dispatch knows that every employee thinks of them as an enemy.
I called in a while ago to say I wouldn't be in to work because there's 2 feet of snow and ice outside and they wouldn't accept the bookoff. Then they threatened that my boss would be calling me on Monday.
The roads are pretty much made of ice right now so no cab can come and bring me there on time, and plus, I'm not paying for it. They would pay for it but "the cab company won't accept their credit cards". In other words, they don't want to pay for my cab either and need to make a good lie so that it's not their fault I'm not at work either. I can't get someone to drive me in, and it's too dangerous to walk there, but still, they expect me there. This has gotta be illegal.
As of now they said that they're going to send patrol down to my house to drive me in to work, but there's no way they're gonna make it through the snow, they're just going to get stuck, like everyone else that has tried to drive tonight. If I do manage to get to work my relief isn't going to show up and I'll be stuck there, and I'm sure they won't give me a ride home, they'll strand me there so that their lives are easier.
Why don't security guards have rights?
